Every Ontario table measured
A single deck, a dealer who hits soft 17, doubles on 9 to 11 only and a published return of 99.69%: that is Vegas Single Deck Blackjack, and it hands the house 0.31%. That number, not a logo or a banner, orders this list of the blackjack sites Canada has to offer, as registered in Ontario.

The draw
All eleven sites below operate under an agreement with iGaming Ontario, and every one of them is measured table by table. Each table carries its printed rules, the source we read them from and the date we checked, turned into a house edge from the provider's published return or by our own maths engine.
Each card is one site. The corner index is the house edge of the best table it deals; lower sits higher.

At the table
Four small tools, all driven by the same maths as the rankings: six decks, dealer stands on soft 17, double after split, late surrender.
Two cards for you, one upcard for the dealer, drawn from a fresh six-deck shoe. The plate shows the basic-strategy play.

Hard 16 against a dealer 6: stand.
With a 6 showing, the dealer busts on 42.3% of hands.
The last hands
Pick the upcard. The stack rises to how often the dealer busts from it (six decks, stands on soft 17).
42.3%
With a 6 showing, the dealer busts on 42.3% of hands, the highest rate of any upcard.
The best Ontario table on the wall above has a 0.31% house edge (Vegas Single Deck Blackjack). A single-deck table that pays 6:5 on a blackjack (dealer hits soft 17, no double after split) computes to 1.59%. Same bets, same basic strategy:
Over 500 hands at C$25, the 6:5 table costs about C$159.78 more on average. Any single session can land far from the average either way.
With an Ace up, the dealer offers insurance, paid 2 to 1 if the hole card is a ten, jack, queen or king.

In a fresh six-deck shoe, 96 of the 311 unseen cards are tens: 30.9%. At 2 to 1, insurance returns 0.926 per unit staked, an average cost of 7.4% of the insurance bet.
A table record starts with what the provider prints: the deck count, whether the dealer hits or stands on soft 17, the blackjack payout, doubling and splitting rules, surrender, and the limits with their currency. Each field carries its source and the date it was read, so every figure on this page traces back to a document.
From those rules the maths engine works out the house edge with basic strategy, the play that gives up the least on average for that exact rule set. Where a provider prints a return to player, as it does for nearly every table in our Ontario register, that figure is used. The method is on how tables are measured.
The figure is a long-run average per hand, before side bets. A 0.50% edge means that over many thousands of hands, a player using perfect basic strategy gives up about fifty cents per C$100 wagered. Short sessions swing far wider. Every departure from basic strategy costs money over time, which the chart pages show cell by cell.
The list above sorts the eleven Ontario sites by their best measured table. A site’s position comes from the lowest house edge among the tables we could confirm it deals in Ontario. Ties are broken by the spread of its table limits, then by how many distinct rule sets it offers. Nothing an operator pays or promotes changes that order.
Every operator’s table list comes from its own Ontario data: catalogue files at Casino Days and TonyBet, game feeds at Betway and ToonieBet, 888casino’s live-tables feed, the LeoVegas lobby, the FireVegas and Toppz game search, and the public pages of Jackpot City, Royal Vegas and Spin Casino. Each title found there is matched to a table record.
Only sites registered with the AGCO and operating under an agreement with iGaming Ontario appear here, and nothing else. Gambling in Canada is regulated by each province, and this site covers the Ontario market. Every row answers to the same regulator, the same 19+ age rule and the same location check before a hand.
The Ontario order is set mostly by computer-dealt Games Global tables and Pragmatic’s ONE Blackjack. Betway, Jackpot City, Royal Vegas and Spin Casino deal Vegas Single Deck at 0.31%. FireVegas, Toppz and TonyBet deal Atlantic City at 0.35%. 888casino, LeoVegas and ToonieBet lead with ONE Blackjack at 0.41%, and Casino Days with First Person Lightning at 0.44%.
All eleven sites deal at least one blackjack table where blackjack pays 3:2, and the 27 tables in our Ontario register run from 0.31% to 2.77%. The gaps between sites come from the rest of the placard, and from how many blackjack titles each lobby holds: 22 at Toppz, more than 290 at TonyBet and 310 at ToonieBet.
Rules come first, then limits and cashouts, which is how the best blackjack sites for Ontario players are compared here. Interac works for deposits and withdrawals at all eleven, and the minimum withdrawal runs from C$5 at 888casino to C$50 at Jackpot City, Royal Vegas and Spin Casino. Each site’s review lists its own payment table in full.
Ontario opened its regulated market for private operators on 4 April 2022. 888casino and LeoVegas went live that day, the three Cadtree Limited sites followed in June 2022, Betway in August 2022, and ToonieBet joined at the end of 2024. Each operator registers with the AGCO and signs an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario before it can take a bet.
For the player, that structure shows up at sign-up. Opening an account means giving your name, date of birth and address, and the site verifies age and identity before you can play at all, not only before the first withdrawal. Expect a request for an identity document, and sometimes a proof of address, during the first session.
The location check comes next. Every session starts with a check that you are physically inside Ontario, usually through the browser or the app’s location permission. If it fails, the lobby stays closed even with money in the account. Players near the provincial border sometimes meet this on a phone, where the signal can read slightly wrong.
iGaming Ontario publishes a directory of every operator with a current agreement and the sites each one runs, and the AGCO points players to that directory as the authoritative list. As of 1 September 2026 it counted 49 regulated operators offering 84 gaming websites. Searching it takes a minute and settles the question before any deposit.
The site itself should agree with the directory. Every website offered by a registered Ontario operator displays the iGaming Ontario and BetGuard logos, and the footer names the operating company. Betway’s Ontario site, for example, is run by Cadway Limited, and Casino Days by Golden Nebula Limited. A brand name alone is not enough to match against the list.
You must be 19 or older to play any game conducted and managed by iGaming Ontario, and there is no exception for blackjack or for small stakes. Sites check the date of birth against identity documents when the account opens. An account that fails the check stays closed, and any balance is handled under the site’s own terms.
Physical presence is the second condition, and it applies to every hand. Eligible iGames conducted and managed by iGO are only available to those physically present in the Province of Ontario. Residence elsewhere does not matter while you are in the province, and an Ontario address does not help while you are outside it.
For online blackjack Canada players in Ontario, studios split the eleven sites into groups. Jackpot City, Royal Vegas, Spin Casino, FireVegas and Toppz deal no Evolution blackjack in Ontario; their live tables come from Pragmatic Play Live and OnAir Entertainment. Casino Days deals no Pragmatic title there. Betway, LeoVegas, TonyBet, ToonieBet and 888casino mix several studios in one lobby.
Limits differ as much as studios. The lowest live minimum we found in Ontario is C$0.50 at Casino Days, and C$1 seats are common at 888casino, LeoVegas and ToonieBet. At the top, 888casino’s VIP Blackjack 5 and 8 run to C$20,000, while ToonieBet tops out at C$10,000. Computer-dealt Games Global tables are listed at US$1 to US$200.
Lobby size says little about price. ToonieBet’s 310 blackjack titles include the same ONE Blackjack at 0.41% that FireVegas deals in a lobby of five live tables. What a bigger lobby buys is choice of limits and seats, and more help panels to read. The tables register shows which site deals each table in Ontario.
A live table streams a dealer from a studio, deals from a shoe and runs each round on a timer. Classic seven-seat tables fill up, while common-hand games such as Infinite Blackjack give every player the same opening two cards and let each play them separately. Ontario live tables we read run from C$0.50 to C$20,000.
Computer-dealt tables use a certified random number generator. Most reshuffle every hand, start low, often at US$1 on the Games Global titles, and wait for your decision without a clock. Speed is the real cost here: more hands per hour means more total wagered against the same edge, so a cheap table played fast can cost more per evening.
Choosing between them for real money play is mostly about pace and limits, since the house edge comes from the rules. Live Infinite Blackjack measures 0.53%; computer-dealt Atlantic City measures 0.35%. A live table with poor rules costs more than a computer table with good ones. For the full live picture, see live blackjack.
Six rules decide most of the number: decks, soft 17, the blackjack payout, doubling after a split, surrender and whether the dealer checks for blackjack. Using our engine on a six-deck table where the dealer stands on soft 17 with doubling after splits, the base edge is 0.41%. Each rule change moves it from there.
| Table | Provider | House edge | How it was obtained |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vegas Single Deck Blackjack | Games Global (Microgaming) | 0.31 % | Published RTP |
| Atlantic City Blackjack | Games Global (Microgaming) | 0.35 % | Published RTP |
| Vegas Downtown Blackjack | Games Global (Microgaming) | 0.38 % | Published RTP |
| ONE Blackjack | Pragmatic Play Live | 0.41 % | Published RTP |
| Infinite Blackjack | Evolution | 0.53 % | Published RTP |
| All Bets Blackjack Live | Playtech Live | 0.54 % | Published RTP |
| Classic Blackjack (Microgaming) | Games Global (Microgaming) | 0.58 % | Published RTP |
| Always 6 Blackjack | Evolution | 0.66 % | Published RTP |
| Classic Live Blackjack (seven-seat tables) | Evolution | 0.71 % | Published RTP |
| Free Bet Blackjack (incl. Infinite Free Bet) | Evolution | 1.74 % | Published RTP |
Letting the dealer hit soft 17 adds 0.21% to that base. Removing double after split adds 0.14%. A no-hole-card dealer, the European style used on Games Global’s five-deck Classic Blackjack at Betway, adds about 0.11%, because you can lose doubled and split bets to a dealer blackjack. Going from six decks to eight adds only 0.03%.
Late surrender works the other way, cutting about 0.07% when you use it on the right hands. Published returns also mix several rules at once. Vegas Downtown deals two decks with the dealer hitting soft 17 and states 99.62%, a 0.38% edge, while four-deck Vegas Strip, standing on soft 17, states 99.65%, or 0.35%.
Free Bet Blackjack is the odd case. It hands out free doubles on hard 9 to 11 and free splits, but a dealer 22 pushes every remaining hand, which takes back more than the free bets give. Evolution’s version publishes 98.26%, a 1.74% edge, and Pragmatic’s version at LeoVegas 98.90%, or 1.10%.
Use the house edge calculator to try any rule combination. It runs the same engine that produces the figures in the list, so the numbers match. Changing one rule at a time is the fastest way to see which lines on a placard deserve your attention, and which barely move the result at all.
Every Ontario casino prints its own table list, so the answer is the table you will play. The cheapest in our Ontario register is Games Global’s Vegas Single Deck: one deck, the dealer hitting soft 17, doubles on 9 to 11 only and no double after a split, at a published 99.69%, a 0.31% edge.

Betway, Jackpot City, Royal Vegas and Spin Casino deal it, listed at US$1 to US$200. If you prefer a live dealer, ONE Blackjack at 0.41% is the cheapest seat, at nine of the eleven sites. Atlantic City, at 0.35% with eight decks and late surrender, is the alternative at FireVegas, Toppz and TonyBet.
A blackjack that pays 6:5 returns C$12 on a C$10 bet instead of C$15. Our engine puts the cost at 1.36% added to the house edge, more than every other common rule change combined. On the base six-deck table that turns 0.41% into 1.77%. A 6:5 table is a bad table, full stop.
None of the 27 tables in our Ontario register pays 6:5, and that is worth checking rather than assuming. A single-deck label is the usual bait, because one deck looks generous at a glance, yet the payout cost dwarfs the deck advantage. If a new title appears in an Ontario lobby, read the payout line in its help panel first.
The chart below covers six decks, the dealer standing on soft 17, doubling after splits and late surrender. Our engine measures that rule set at 0.33%. Each cell shows the play that gives up the least for your hand against the dealer’s up card. Charts for other rule sets are on the blackjack strategy chart page.

A chart only fits the rules it was built for. Hitting soft 17 changes several doubling plays, and a no-hole-card table changes how you treat a dealer Ace or ten. Before relying on any chart, match it against the placard. The house edge calculator builds the correct chart for whatever rules your table prints.
Reading a chart and using it at speed are different skills. The trainer below deals from a six-deck shoe, checks each decision against the chart and plays the hand out against the dealer, showing the result. Nothing is stored and no money is involved. The full trainer page explains each rule set.
Pick your play. Every decision is checked against the chart for these rules, then the hand plays out against the dealer.
No mistakes yet. The last ten land here.
Most Ontario online lobbies mix a few standard tables with branded variants. Classic seven-seat tables, common-hand games such as Infinite Blackjack, and computer games like Atlantic City or Vegas Strip all play close to the standard rules. Variants change one or two rules sharply, and each change has a price you can measure.
Free Bet, Power Blackjack, Always 6 and Fun Fun 21 each rework the rules. Power Blackjack removes the nines and tens from an eight-deck shoe and allows quadruple doubles. Fun Fun 21 removes the tens and pays a player 21 even against a dealer 21. Always 6, which ToonieBet carries in Ontario, publishes a return of 99.34%.
Each of those variants carries a published return: Power Blackjack 98.80%, Fun Fun 21 99.37%, Evolution’s Speed Blackjack 99.28% and Salon Privé 99.29%. That puts them between 0.63% and 1.20%, all above the 0.53% of plain Infinite Blackjack. Our guide to blackjack variants explains how each rule change moves the maths.
Side bets carry their own house edge, usually far above the main game. The Infinite Blackjack rules file gives Any Pair a 95.90% return, 21+3 96.30%, Hot 3 94.60% and Bust It 94.12%. That puts their house edges between 3.70% and 5.88%, against 0.53% on the main hand at the same table.
A side bet placed every hand can easily cost more than the blackjack itself. On a C$10 main bet with a C$2 side bet at a 5% edge, the side bet gives up roughly twice as much per hand as the main wager. The full list of returns is on our side bets page.
Interac is the payment method online blackjack Canada players in Ontario use most, and it moves money directly from a Canadian bank account. All eleven sites in our list accept it for deposits and withdrawals, with minimum deposits of C$10 or C$20. LeoVegas caps an Interac withdrawal at C$4,000, ToonieBet withdrawals at C$9,000 a day.
Some Canadian card issuers decline gambling transactions, so a card deposit can fail even where a site accepts cards, and Mastercard does not pay out to Canadian customers at Betway. Registered sites hold balances in Canadian dollars, which avoids conversion fees. Withdrawals generally return to the method you deposited with, so choose one that also pays out.
Identity checks are the usual reason a first withdrawal takes longer than expected. A withdrawal can still trigger a further document request. After that, published times vary: Visa withdrawals in 1 – 24 hours at Jackpot City and Spin Casino, a 12-hour target at Casino Days, and up to five business days at LeoVegas.
Every Ontario site on the list runs in a mobile browser, and several publish Ontario apps: 888casino, TonyBet and ToonieBet each have an iOS app named for the province, while Toppz works in the mobile browser only. Live tables scale down with the dealer stream on top and the betting controls below. Computer-dealt games cope better with a weak connection.
The phone adds one step: the location permission. Ontario sites confirm you are inside the province before the lobby opens, and a phone that blocks location access for the browser or app will fail that check. Grant it, then open the table’s help panel on the device you play on.
A site that hides its blackjack rules, or prints a return to player without saying which table it belongs to, is the first warning. A table that pays 6:5, or a dealer who hits soft 17 with no sign of compensating rules, is the second. The house edge is printed on good tables precisely because it can be.
Any site missing from iGaming Ontario’s operator directory is unregistered in the province, however polished it looks. iGaming Ontario warns that unregistered platforms expose players to deposit loss, delayed payouts, data breaches and limited protections. A missing iGaming Ontario or BetGuard logo, no named operating company or no 19+ notice on the site deserves the same caution.
Pressure is a red flag of its own. Countdown clocks, messages urging another deposit, or a lobby that steers you to side bets all push the long-run cost up. The best blackjack sites Canada players in Ontario can choose print their rules and leave the pace to you. Those habits matter as much as the edge.
Blackjack has one of the lowest house edges in a casino, but it is still a game the house wins over time. Set a budget in Canadian dollars before you sit down and treat it as the cost of the evening. Every registered Ontario site lets you set deposit limits, loss limits, time reminders and self-exclusion from the account settings.
Lowering a limit applies at once on the Ontario sites we read, while raising one waits: 24 hours at most of them, seven days at LeoVegas. ConnexOntario answers around the clock at 1-866-531-2600, free and confidential, and the Gambling Help and Referral service is at aidejeu.ca. Our responsible gambling page lists contacts and self-exclusion programs.
Before a session at one of the best blackjack sites Canada offers in Ontario, open the table’s rules and find four things: the blackjack payout, soft 17, double after split and the limits. If any of them is missing, or the payout reads 6:5, the house edge is higher than it needs to be, and another table may cost less.
Questions at the table
Yes. Ontario regulates private online casinos through the AGCO, which registers operators, and iGaming Ontario, which conducts and manages the games under an agreement with each one. Blackjack is offered across the registered sites. You must be 19 or older and physically located in Ontario when you play, and only registered sites may be shown to Ontario visitors.
Yes. Adults aged 19 or older who are physically present in Ontario can play real money blackjack at any site registered with the AGCO. Tables in the lobbies we read run from C$0.50 per hand at Casino Days up to C$20,000 on 888casino's VIP tables. The house edge on each table depends on its printed rules, not on the limits.
Check the operator directory on the iGaming Ontario website, which lists every operator with a current agreement and the sites it runs. A registered site also displays the iGaming Ontario and BetGuard logos. iGaming Ontario counted 49 regulated operators offering 84 gaming websites as of 1 September 2026. If a brand is missing from the directory, do not deposit.
The answer is a table, not a brand. A site is only as good as its lowest-edge table, so the ranking above orders the eleven Ontario sites by that figure, then by the spread of limits and the number of distinct rule sets. Nine of the eleven deal ONE Blackjack at 0.41%, so limits and table range often decide the order.
Regulated online blackjack in Ontario is tested and supervised: the AGCO sets technical standards for games, and iGaming Ontario conducts and manages them. Trust a table whose rules, payout and limits are printed and match what you see on screen. Treat any table that hides its rules, or changes them without notice, as one to leave.
Games on Ontario's registered sites are certified and audited, so a computer-dealt shoe is random within its published rules. The house still keeps its edge, which comes from the rules themselves: the dealer acts last and you can bust first. That edge is a known number, between 0.31% and 2.77% on the 27 tables in our Ontario register, before side bets.
Most computer-dealt tables do, so the Games Global tables such as Vegas Single Deck and Atlantic City start each hand from a full set of cards. Live tables deal from a physical shoe and cut it in the usual way, so the shuffle point varies by studio and game. The help panel of each table says which method applies.
Not necessarily. Rules decide the house edge wherever the cards are dealt, and several Ontario online tables are cheap by any standard: Vegas Single Deck at 0.31%, Atlantic City at 0.35% and ONE Blackjack at 0.41%. A table that pays 6:5 or has the dealer hitting soft 17 without compensating rules costs more, online or off.
Live tables stream a real dealer from a studio and deal from a shoe, usually with seven seats or an unlimited common hand. Computer-dealt tables use a certified random number generator, often reshuffle every hand and allow low minimums, often from C$1. The pace differs too: a computer table waits for you, while a live round runs on a timer.
Published times differ by method more than by site. Jackpot City and Spin Casino quote Visa withdrawals in 1 – 24 hours, Casino Days targets 12 hours for processing in Ontario, and most Interac withdrawals take 1 – 3 business days after a pending period of 24 to 72 hours. Identity checks, which registered sites must complete, add time to a first withdrawal.
For recreational players, gambling winnings are generally not taxed, because the Canada Revenue Agency treats them as windfalls. The picture changes when gambling is carried on as a business, which is rare and decided case by case. If your situation is unusual, a tax professional is the right person to ask, not a casino page.
Yes, but the name sets no rules. 888casino's Ontario lobby carries Canada Imperial, and ToonieBet carries Ezugi's Canada Ride Free Blackjack. OnAir Entertainment names tables after Toronto, Ottawa and Niagara Falls, dealt from eight decks at a published 99.44%, a 0.56% edge. Open the help panel of any branded table before you sit down.
On computer-dealt tables that shuffle every hand, counting has nothing to track, so it does nothing. Live tables deal from eight-deck shoes, and common-hand games like Infinite Blackjack and ONE Blackjack share one hand among unlimited players. Basic strategy remains the realistic standard at Ontario online tables, and every chart on this site is built on it.
Interac works for deposits and withdrawals at all eleven Ontario sites we list, with minimum deposits of C$10 or C$20. Visa works at most of them, while several take Mastercard for deposits only. Withdrawals normally go back to the same method you deposited with, so choose one that also pays out before you make the first deposit.
You must be 19 or older to play at any site whose games are conducted and managed by iGaming Ontario. You must also be physically located in Ontario, and sites check your location before a hand is dealt. Every registered site verifies age and identity when the account is opened, before you can play.
Your account stays open, but the games do not. Eligible games conducted and managed by iGaming Ontario are only available to people physically present in the province, so the location check blocks play once you are outside it. You can usually still log in to view your balance or manage limits, depending on the site.
