Low limit blackjack table limits: the cheapest seats
The cheapest seats in Ontario are computer-dealt. Evolution’s First Person Blackjack runs from C$0.50 to C$500 in its register record and is dealt at Casino Days and ToonieBet. Games Global’s Vegas tables are quoted at US$1 to US$200 at Betway, Jackpot City, Royal Vegas and Spin Casino. Among live tables the floor is C$1.

| Blackjack Classic 57 | Evolution | ToonieBet | C$5 | C$5,000 | 0.71% |
Most C$1 live seats share one feature: everyone plays the same hand, so a small bet takes no seat from anyone. Infinite Blackjack, ONE Blackjack and Power Blackjack all work that way. The most common minimum in ToonieBet’s 237 printed ranges is C$5, on 110 tables, the usual seven-seat entry point.
ToonieBet prints a C$1 minimum on nine live tables, LeoVegas on nine and 888casino on six, with four more at C$2. At LeoVegas the C$1 tables include Infinite Blackjack, Infinite Free Bet, Infinite Bet Stacker, Infinite Fun Fun 21, Lightning, Power and Easy Blackjack, plus OnAir’s Eclipse table. Each minimum is printed on the lobby tile itself.
The edge column comes from the table records behind our tables page. For 26 of the 27 records the provider states a return to player, and the edge is what remains of 100%. The last one, Blackjack X, is computed from its printed rules. ONE Blackjack’s stated 99.59% makes it the cheapest C$1 live seat, at 0.41%.
Lightning Blackjack also opens at C$1 at ToonieBet and LeoVegas, and Evolution’s rules file lists it at C$5 to C$1,000. Its stated return of 99.56% gives a 0.44% edge, but every hand carries a mandatory fee equal to the initial bet that is never returned, so a C$1 Lightning seat moves C$2 per round before any double.
High limit blackjack table limits: minimums up to C$1,000
At the other end, minimums climb to C$1,000 and per-table maximums to C$20,000. These are seven-seat or single-player tables whose names signal the stake: VIP, Salon Privé, Diamond, Platinum, Ruby. The table below takes every range of C$200 minimum or more from the Ontario lobbies that print limits on their tables.
| Table | Provider | Ontario site | Minimum | Maximum | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| VIP Blackjack 5 and VIP Blackjack 8 | Pragmatic Play Live | 888casino | C$1,000 | C$20,000 | 0.59% |
| Salon Prive Blackjack | Evolution | ToonieBet | C$1,000 | C$10,000 | 0.71% |
| Blackjack Diamond VIP | Evolution | ToonieBet | C$1,000 | C$5,000 | 0.71% |
| VIP Blackjack 3 and VIP Blackjack 4 | Pragmatic Play Live | 888casino | C$500 | C$10,000 | 0.59% |
| Blackjack Grand VIP | Evolution | ToonieBet | C$500 | C$5,000 | 0.71% |
| Blackjack Fortune VIP, Platinum VIP, VIP C | Evolution | ToonieBet | C$250 | C$5,000 | 0.71% |
| VIP Blackjack 1, 2 and 7 | Pragmatic Play Live | 888casino | C$250 | C$5,000 | 0.59% |
| VIP Blackjack 1 Ruby | Pragmatic Play Live | FireVegas | C$250 | C$5,000 | 0.59% |
| Platinum Private Blackjack 10 to 12 | Evolution | ToonieBet | C$200 | C$5,000 | 0.71% |
The C$20,000 ceiling at 888casino is the highest maximum on any per-table limit card we recorded, and it sits on Pragmatic’s VIP series at 0.59%. A high maximum does not need a high minimum, though. ONE Blackjack 1 and 2 at ToonieBet run from C$1 to C$10,000, the same top as Salon Privé with a thousandth of its minimum.
The edges at the top end match the standard versions of the same games. Evolution’s VIP, Diamond, Platinum and Salon Privé tables carry the 0.71% of its classic seven-seat record, Pragmatic’s VIP series the 0.59% of its regular tables, and Evolution’s VIP Always 6 at ToonieBet, from C$50 to C$9,000, the 0.66% of the standard game.
Note that before paying a C$1,000 minimum. Nothing in the printed material shows a high limit table dealing better rules than the C$10 version of the same game. Privé Lounge is the one exception in the register: Pragmatic says its split after split lifts the return to 99.51%, a 0.49% edge, against 0.59% at its regular tables.
Privé Lounge limits come from Pragmatic’s own announcement and are quoted in euros: €1,000 to €20,000 per hand, with each casino setting its own range. In Ontario it is linked to TonyBet, which lists twelve numbered Privé Lounge tables. Playtech’s Soirée tables at 888casino sit lower, opening at C$100 to C$500 and capped at C$2,000 per hand.
How each lobby prints its blackjack table limits
Each Ontario lobby shows limits in its own way, and that shapes what anyone can compare. ToonieBet prints a minimum and a maximum on 237 of its 290 live blackjack tables, the fullest set we found, running from C$1 to C$10,000. The ToonieBet review breaks those ranges down by provider and by table family, table by table.
888casino shows a limit card on 93 of its 199 live blackjack tables, with ranges from C$1 to C$20,000. The cards cover Pragmatic’s numbered and VIP tables, Playtech’s All Bets and Soirée series and Evolution’s Infinite Free Bet. The 888casino review lists the providers behind each card, including the 888-branded Manhattan and Cosmopolitan tables at C$5 to C$1,000.
LeoVegas prints a minimum on 33 of its 79 live blackjack tiles: nine start at C$1, eight at C$10 and three at C$250, with Exclusive Private Blackjack at C$100. Casino.org’s Ontario review gives its whole live blackjack range as C$5 to C$50,000. The LeoVegas review covers its exclusive Evolution, OnAir and Playtech tables in detail.
Several other lobbies quote one range for the whole category. Review data puts Casino Days’ Ontario live blackjack at C$0.50 to C$10,000 and the Pragmatic lobby at Toppz at C$1 to C$10,000. Jackpot City, Spin Casino and Royal Vegas deal ONE Blackjack at C$1 to C$5,000, and Royal Vegas quotes C$1 to C$25,000 across its blackjack games.
Betway’s Ontario live blackjack runs from C$1 to C$5,000 by casino.org’s Ontario review, across its Evolution, Playtech and OnAir tables. Computer-dealt games are narrower: casino.ca lists RNG blackjack at C$1 to C$200 at Jackpot City and Spin Casino, in line with SlotCatalog’s US$1 to US$200 for the Games Global tables those sites deal.
At FireVegas and TonyBet most ranges sit in each game’s own limit panel, which opens with the table, so the figure to trust is the one you read there. FireVegas does print one high range in its lobby, the Ruby VIP table at C$250 to C$5,000, and its Pragmatic tables carry the provider’s 0.59% at every stake.
Bankroll arithmetic: what blackjack table limits cost per 100 hands
The cost of a session follows one line of arithmetic: bet times hands times house edge. The figures below are per 100 hands, so they hold at any pace. Count your own hands for an hour, multiply, and you have an hourly figure for the speed you actually play, whether at a slow live table or a quick computer-dealt one.
| Table | Bet per hand | House edge | Average cost per 100 hands |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Person Blackjack (Evolution) | C$0.50 | 0.71% | C$0.36 |
| Vegas Single Deck Blackjack (Games Global) | US$1 | 0.31% | US$0.31 |
| ONE Blackjack (Pragmatic Play Live) | C$1 | 0.41% | C$0.41 |
| Infinite Blackjack (Evolution) | C$1 | 0.53% | C$0.53 |
| Free Bet Blackjack (Evolution) | C$1 | 1.74% | C$1.74 |
| Infinite Blackjack (Evolution) | C$5 | 0.53% | C$2.65 |
| Blackjack Classic 57 (Evolution) | C$5 | 0.71% | C$3.55 |
| Blackjack Classic (Evolution) | C$10 | 0.71% | C$7.10 |
| VIP Always 6 Blackjack (Evolution) | C$50 | 0.66% | C$33.00 |
| VIP Blackjack 8 (888casino) | C$1,000 | 0.59% | C$590.00 |
Take the Infinite Blackjack row at C$5. Five dollars times 100 hands is C$500 wagered, and 0.53% of C$500 is C$2.65. That is the average cost of those hands under basic strategy, not a forecast of any one session. Real sessions scatter widely on both sides of it, and the scatter grows with the size of the bet.
The figures assume every decision follows the strategy chart, and every departure from basic strategy costs money over time. They count initial bets only. Doubles and splits put extra money on the felt at the same edge, so a session with many of them moves more money and costs a little more than the table shows.
At the high limit end the same sum scales up fast. A C$50 hand at VIP Always 6 costs C$33.00 per 100 hands on average, and a C$1,000 hand at 888casino’s VIP Blackjack 8, at 0.59%, costs C$590. You can run any combination of stake and rules through the calculator and set the result against your budget.
A low limit table and a cheap table are different things
A low limit table has a small minimum. A cheap table costs little per hand, which depends on both the stake and the edge. The two often coincide, but not always. The C$1 live seats in the first table above range from 0.41% to 2.77%, so the same C$1 buys very different average costs over a session.
Free Bet Blackjack shows the gap clearly. At C$1 a hand it costs C$1.74 per 100 hands. A C$4 hand at ONE Blackjack, at 0.41%, costs C$1.64 per 100 hands. Four times the stake still costs less over those hands, because the ONE Blackjack edge is less than a quarter of the Free Bet figure on the same shoe size.
The cheapest minimum of all makes the same point. First Person Blackjack’s C$0.50 seat carries a 0.71% edge from its stated 99.29% return. Half a dollar a hand there costs about C$0.36 per 100 hands, while C$1 at ONE Blackjack costs C$0.41: twice the stake for barely more cost, because the ONE Blackjack rules are cheaper.
Side bets break the pattern further. Evolution’s Infinite Blackjack rules file lists 21+3 at 96.30% and Bust It at 94.12%, house edges of 3.70% and 5.88%. A C$1 side bet beside a C$1 main bet, over 100 hands, adds C$3.70 or C$5.88 on average to the main game’s C$0.53. The seat stays low limit; the cost does not.
The stake still matters for your budget. A C$10 minimum ties up ten times more money per hand and swings ten times harder than C$1, whatever the edge. So read the two numbers together: the minimum tells you how fast a budget can move, and the edge tells you how much of each hand stays with the table over time.
Who can sit at these tables in Ontario
Every range on this page comes from sites registered with the AGCO that run under an agreement with iGaming Ontario. They deal blackjack only to players who are 19 or older and physically present in Ontario, and they check both before the first real-money hand. The limit you see applies once those checks are complete.
The same sites offer deposit limits, loss limits and time-outs in the account section, and those tools work alongside table limits. A table minimum sets the smallest hand; your own limit sets how much the session may cost. Setting the second before choosing the first keeps a high limit seat from deciding the budget for you.
Checking the limits before the first hand
Open the table and read its own limit panel before placing a chip. The lobby figure is a snapshot, and the panel inside the game is the one that binds. Check whether the range applies per hand or per seat, and whether a fee or a default side bet adds money to every round on top of the minimum.
Then find the edge for that exact table. If the provider states a return, subtract it from 100. Every table on this page already has its figure in the register, from 0.31% on Vegas Single Deck Blackjack to 2.77% on Easy Blackjack, so the limit sign and the edge can be read side by side.
