Privacy Policy: What Blackjack Sites Processes and Your Choices

This privacy policy explains what happens to information about you when you visit blackjacksites.ca. The short answer is very little. The site is static, has no user accounts and no comments, and loads no analytics or advertising trackers at present. The sections below set out the few things that are processed, why, and for how long.

The site is operated by Kayden Mertz, 9528 25 Hwy, Halton Hills, Ontario L9T 2X7, Canada, who is responsible for this policy and the information it describes. Privacy questions, requests and complaints go to [email protected]. This policy works together with the terms of use and the cookie policy, and all three are linked in the footer of every page.

What the site processes

Server logs come first. When your browser asks for a page, the hosting infrastructure that serves the site records a standard request log: the IP address, the time, the page requested, the browser type and the response. Those logs exist for security and to keep the service running, and the site does not use them to build profiles of visitors.

The site does not look up where you are. Every visitor sees the same version of each page, written for readers in Ontario, and no page changes with the network you connect from. The site does not store your IP address, does not read a location from your browser and keeps no record of where you were.

Your cookie choice is stored in your own browser. The consent notice that appears on a first visit saves Accept or Decline in your browser’s local storage, under the key ck, so the notice does not appear on every page. That value stays on your device, is not sent to us and can be removed at any time.

E-mail is the last item. If you write to [email protected], we receive your address and your message. We use them to read and answer it and to check any correction it contains. They are kept only as long as needed for that purpose and are not added to a mailing list, sold or shared for advertising.

What the site does not collect

There are no accounts, logins or passwords on the site, no comment sections and no reader reviews. No analytics service and no advertising tracker is loaded at present. The site does not ask for your name, age, address, payment details or any document, and it does not hold any money or gambling activity of yours.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets no tracking cookies. The consent notice asks before any non-essential cookie could be set, and with nothing non-essential loaded today, the only stored item is your choice under the key ck. If your browser blocks local storage, the notice stays hidden and the site treats the visit as declined, so nothing non-essential runs either way.

The notice states that the site sets no tracking or advertising cookies, and that is the current state. If a visit counter is added, it will run only in browsers where Accept was chosen, and this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first to name it, say what it records and say how long it keeps that record.

Links to operators run through pages under /go/ that send you on to the operator’s own site. Those are affiliate links, as the disclosure on each page explains. Once you arrive at an operator, its own privacy policy and cookies apply. The site passes no name, e-mail or account detail, because it holds none to pass.

Principles we follow

The site follows the fair information principles that underlie Canadian privacy law. Someone is accountable for the information, the purpose is stated before anything is collected, collection is limited to what that purpose needs, and information is used only for that purpose and kept only as long as it is needed. Consent is asked where it is required.

The same principles cover accuracy, safeguards, openness, access and challenge. Information we hold should be correct, protected against loss or misuse, and described plainly, as this page tries to do. You may ask what we hold about you, and if you think we have fallen short, you may say so and expect a reply.

Your choices and how to contact us

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to [email protected]. To change your cookie choice, clear this site’s stored data in your browser settings, and the notice will ask again on your next visit. If our answer does not satisfy you, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada can receive a complaint.

This policy changes when the site changes. If a new service is added that processes information, such as a visit counter, the policy will name it before it runs. The terms of use set out the rules for using the site. If anything here is unclear, write to us and ask.

Questions at the table

Frequently asked questions

Does blackjacksites.ca collect personal information?

Very little. The site has no accounts, no comments and no analytics or advertising trackers at present. The hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs for security and operation, every visitor sees the same version of each page, and your consent choice stays in your own browser.

Does the site store my IP address?

The site itself does not store your IP address. The hosting infrastructure records standard request logs, which include the IP address, for security and to keep the service running. The site runs no location lookup, shows every visitor the same pages and keeps no record of where you were.

What happens to my data when I follow a link to an operator?

Links to operators pass through a page under /go/ that sends you on to the operator's own site. From that point the operator's privacy policy applies, along with any cookies it sets. The site does not send your name, e-mail or any account details to the operator, because it does not hold any.

How do I ask what information you hold about me?

Write to [email protected]. In most cases the only information we hold is an e-mail you sent us, and we can tell you what it contains, correct it or delete it once it is no longer needed. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
