What an Interac blackjack deposit actually moves
A deposit moves Canadian dollars from your bank account to your casino balance. Nothing about the table changes because of the method you choose. A 0.53% house edge stays 0.53% whether the C$50 arrived by Interac, card or bank transfer. The method decides speed, fees and how the money comes back, nothing more.
That separation matters when a cashier looks attractive. A fast Interac blackjack deposit is convenient, but convenience is not a reason to choose a site. The licence comes first, the rules at the tables second, and the cashier third. A site with a smooth cashier and a 6:5 table is still a 6:5 table.
Interac blackjack deposit and withdrawal figures by site
The table below sets out the Interac figures each operator publishes in its cashier, help centre or terms. Minimums are in C$ for the Ontario site unless the row says otherwise. Payout times start once the site releases the request, and the pending period each site sets runs before that.
| Site | Minimum deposit | Minimum withdrawal | Published payout time |
|---|---|---|---|
| 888casino | C$10 | C$5 | 1 business day pending, then Interac in 1–3 days |
| LeoVegas | C$10 by e-Transfer | C$20 by e-Transfer | Typically within 5 business days |
| Betway | C$10 | C$10 | Up to 72 hours pending, then about 30 minutes with auto-deposit |
| ToonieBet | C$10 | C$15 (Interac from C$10) | Processed within 3 business days |
| Jackpot City | C$10 | C$50 | Interac Online 1–3 business days |
| Spin Casino | C$10 | C$50 | Interac 1–3 business days |
| Royal Vegas | C$10 | C$50 | 24 hours pending, then Interac 1–3 business days |
| Casino Days | C$20 | C$20 | Processing aim 12 hours, then e-Transfer 1–3 business days |
| TonyBet | C$20 | C$10 | Processed within 48 hours after document checks |
| FireVegas | C$20 | C$20 | 48 hours pending, then up to 3 working days |
| Toppz | C$20 | C$20 | 1–2 days pending, then up to 3 working days |
Seven of the 11 sites take an Interac deposit from C$10, and four start at C$20. On the way out, 888casino has the lowest minimum at C$5, and the three Cadtree sites, Jackpot City, Spin Casino and Royal Vegas, start at C$50. Spin Casino’s Ontario FAQ states there is no maximum withdrawal amount above that.
Maximums vary more. Casino Days takes Interac deposits up to C$10,000 per transaction on its Ontario site, and pays out the same amount per withdrawal. LeoVegas caps an e-Transfer withdrawal at C$4,000, ToonieBet allows C$9,000 a day by Interac, and FireVegas and Toppz set a weekly ceiling of C$10,000 unless a higher VIP limit applies.
Interac e-Transfer and Interac Online in plain terms
Interac e-Transfer is the version most people use. You send money from your online banking to a recipient identified by an email address or a mobile number. At a casino, the recipient is usually the site or a payment processor working for it, and the cashier gives you the exact details or a request to approve.
Interac Online works as a checkout: the cashier sends you to your bank’s own sign-in page to approve the payment. Jackpot City lists it as Interac Online for both deposits and withdrawals, while LeoVegas runs e-Transfer deposits and Interac eCashout withdrawals through the processor Gigadat. The label in the cashier tells you which one you are using.
Interac Debit, the card you tap in a shop, is a separate service built for in-person payments. Many Canadian debit cards also carry a Visa Debit or Debit Mastercard logo for online use, and those payments run on card networks rather than Interac. A cashier may list them separately, with their own limits and fees.
Your bank controls part of the process. It sets daily, weekly and monthly e-Transfer sending limits, and some account plans charge a fee for each transfer. Those limits are not gambling controls; they are banking settings. Check them in your banking app before a large deposit, because the lower ceiling always wins.
Reading the cashier page before an Interac blackjack deposit
A cashier page is a short contract written as a table. Each method gets a row, and each row should show a minimum, a maximum, a processing time and a fee. Read the Interac row and the withdrawal row separately, because the two often carry different limits, and the withdrawal side is the one that matters later.
Start with the minimum. It should sit comfortably above the smallest bet at the table you plan to play, so the deposit buys a reasonable number of hands. At Betway, Evolution’s Free Bet Blackjack starts at C$10 and Vegas Single Deck Blackjack at US$1, which shows how far minimums can differ between two tables in one lobby.
Next, read the currency. An account held in C$ avoids conversion on the way in and on the way out; ToonieBet and FireVegas run CAD-only wallets. If the cashier shows another currency, your bank or the processor converts the amount. Then read the fee column, and compare it with the payments page.
Finally, look for the conditions printed under the table. Common ones are a name-match rule, a requirement to withdraw by the same method where possible, and a review period on withdrawals. Royal Vegas, for example, keeps a request reversible for at least 24 hours, and requests made from Thursday to Sunday stay reversible until Monday.
How an Interac withdrawal reaches your bank
A withdrawal starts as a request in the cashier. The site reviews it, holding it as pending for a period it sets itself, and then releases the payment. Betway’s pending period runs up to 72 hours; FireVegas holds a request for 48 hours. Once released, an e-Transfer usually lands soon after, so the waiting happens at the casino.
Many sites return money to the method used for the deposit where they can. That is a common anti-money-laundering practice, and it means an Interac deposit is usually followed by an Interac withdrawal. FireVegas and Toppz write that closed-loop rule into their Ontario terms, and 888casino pays first to deposit methods up to the amount deposited.
Withdrawal ceilings are often lower than deposit ceilings, and some sites cap the amount per day, week or month. TonyBet’s Ontario terms set C$4,000 a day, C$15,000 a week and C$50,000 a month. A large balance may come back in several payments, and Jackpot City and Royal Vegas both say they may pay in increments.
Identity checks and the first withdrawal
Licensed sites must verify your identity and age. In Ontario, AGCO-registered sites operating under an agreement with iGaming Ontario verify players, usually at registration, and some ask for further papers with the first withdrawal. Either way, a missing document is one of the most common reasons a withdrawal request stays in pending status longer.
Upload documents early. A photo ID, a recent proof of address and sometimes a bank statement showing your name are typical requests; ToonieBet states it completes checks within 24 to 48 hours of receiving full documents. The name on the casino account and on the bank account should match exactly, or the payment can return to the queue.
Interac beside the other Ontario payment methods
Interac is not the only route into an Ontario cashier. Visa and Mastercard deposits are accepted almost everywhere, and several sites add e-wallets: MuchBetter at ToonieBet and TonyBet, Skrill at ToonieBet, Apple Pay at 888casino and Betway, and Paysafecard at Casino Days and Toppz. Each sits on its own row with its own limits.
The difference shows on the way out. Interac pays withdrawals at all 11 sites, while payouts to cards and vouchers depend on each site’s own rules and timings. Because sites return funds to the deposit method where they can, choosing Interac for the deposit usually settles the withdrawal route as well, in Canadian dollars both ways.
Fees, currency and the figure on your statement
Two parties can charge for an Interac deposit. Your bank may charge per e-Transfer, and the casino may list its own fee, which among the 11 private sites in our records only TonyBet and FireVegas do, in narrow cases. A third cost appears when the account is not held in C$, because conversion moves the rate against you twice.
The name on your bank statement may not be the casino brand. Many sites route payments through a processor, and the statement shows the processor’s name. That is normal, but keep the cashier receipt for each transaction. If a deposit does not appear in your balance, the receipt and the transfer reference are what support needs first.
Matching a deposit to the table you plan to play
Size the deposit to the table, not the other way round. At a C$10 minimum, a C$100 deposit covers ten hands at the smallest stake, which is a short session with large swings. At a C$1 RNG table, the same C$100 lasts far longer at the same house edge per dollar.
The expected cost depends on the edge and the amount you put in play. At C$10 a hand and a 0.71% edge, the figure Evolution publishes for its Classic Live Blackjack tables, each hand costs about seven cents on average. A larger deposit does not change that rate. It only changes how long the money lasts before the session ends.
Limits to set at the cashier
Licensed sites offer deposit limits in C$ by day, week or month, and they apply to every method including Interac. Set one before the first deposit. Lowering a limit usually works at once, while raising it normally comes with a waiting period. That delay is deliberate, and it is worth keeping.
Your bank’s e-Transfer limit is a ceiling, not a budget. It is set for everyday banking and is usually far above any sensible evening at a table. Use the casino’s own limit tools for gambling, and use the reality checks or session reminders the site offers. Our responsible gambling page lists the support contacts for Ontario players.
Before you play blackjack with Interac for the first time, open the cashier and read the withdrawal row as carefully as the deposit row. Compare its minimum, maximum and processing time with the table above, and ask support to confirm any difference in writing. Check that the account currency reads C$ before you approve the transfer.
